Canada has issued an advisory regarding the erectile dysfunction drugs Viagra, Cialis and Levitra, alerting patients to “seek immediate medical attention” if they experience sudden vision loss or other vision-related problems when taking the medications.
Earlier this month the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved new labeling to warn doctors and patients about possible blindness because of Pfizer Inc.’s well-known drug Viagra. The Canadian health ministry said changes for the product information is likely.
The FDA warning labels also affected Cialis and Levitra.
