A former bodyguard for famed Las Vegas magician and showman Roy Horn filed a lawsuit alleging that Horn’s well-known partner Siegfried Fischbacher is forcing excessive amounts of pain medication on Roy.
The lawsuit alleges that for the past two years since Roy’s infamous tiger incident - in which the man was nearly fatally mauled by one of the pair’s famous white tigers – Siegfried has kept Roy under a lock and key. The suit alleges abuse by Siegfried against Roy both in the form of overmedication and in psychological ways as well.
The ex-bodyguard, Louis Mydlach, 34, filed a civil lawsuit in Clark County District Court. The suit alleges that Mydlach was wrongfully dismissed from his job. Mydlach alleges that he tried repeatedly to protect Roy Horn from Siegfried maltreatment.
The former bodyguard is seeking at least $10 thousand in past due salary, but the other allegations against Siegfried could force the famous duo to split. Since the attack, Roy Horn has only been seen in public rarely. The magician has trouble walking and standing, and is paralyzed on one side of his body from the attack.
