Pfizer, the world''s largest drugmaker, bought Warner-Lambert three months after the company issued a Rezulin recall in 2000. The Rezulin recall has resulted in lawsuits after allegations of liver damage leading to death, liver transplant, or damage.
The latest Rezulin lawsuit claims liver damage occurred after using the anti-diabetes treatment Rezulin. Patients have also argued the failure of the drugmaker to issue reports showing the risks of suffering liver problems. Thousands of Rezulin lawsuits have been filed, including a jury order in 2003 awarding $2 million in compensatory damages to a woman that used Rezulin.
