A settlement was recently reached in the lawsuit filed against a motorcyclist who injured an innocent boy.
The suit, which was filed in Trumbull County, Ohio, was filed after a man in a motorcycle crashed into a restaurant.
Nicolas J. Hackenson was eight-years-old when he was suddenly struck by a motorcycle while at the Powerhouse Bar Grill.
Hackenson was reportedly dining at the restaurant with his grandmother when motorcyclist Robert D. Simmons came crashing through the building.
Simmons supposedly lost control of his bike and as a result of the crash, Hackenson suffered from a broken leg.
The lawsuit filed names Simmons, the Powerhouse Bar Grill and Hackenson’s grandmother as defendants in the suit.
All of the defendants were blamed for negligence and failing to keep the little boy in a safe environment.
Hackenson was given $150,000 in the settlement for his injuries.
