Recent reports claim that an estimated 750 log swings are being recalled due to a defect in their manufacturing.
The swings, which are made by Far East Brokers and Consultants, pose potential risks to consumers who sit and swing on the product.
Problems with Swings
According to the manufacturers, a nail meant to connect the back of the log chair to its seat is missing.
As a result, the log of the chair can be easily separated from its seat while being used.
Injuries Reported
The firm has reportedly already received six reports of the chair separating, linked to this separation, three injuries have been reported.
Swing Details
The swings that have been recalled seat two people and hang from a log frame.
These swings have been sold at Grand Union Family Markets, Ingle’s Markets and Central Shoprite stores throughout the United States.
Consumers are being cautioned to stop using the swings immediately and return it to the store they purchased the product at for a full refund.
