"Chigaco Hotel Owners Reach Settlement"

A settlement was recently reached in the case involving two hotel owners who were accused of credit card fraud.

The two men, who own a Holiday Inn in Joliet, IL, were supposedly falsely charged by the Will County Sheriff’s Department.

Business Owners Accused

John Seo and John Rhee were accused of selling credit card numbers to a scam artist in return for money.

According to Seo and Rhee, police worked with an informant to create false evidence against them.

Court documents claim that 10 area hotel owners and employees were also accused.

The business owners claim that Will County Sheriff Paul Kaupas knew about the operation but failed to do anything about it.

Informant Revealed

After questions began to arise about the informant, the credit card fraud charges were immediately dropped.

However, Seo and Rhee claim the accusations were negative for their business and were an attempt to shut down their hotel.
