Ford Motor Co. recalled nearly 1.2 million diesel trucks, vans, and sport utility vehicles on Thursday over a faulty engine sensor that could cause the vehicles to stall suddenly and possibly crash.
The company has received reports of at least 14 accidents associated with a defected camshaft position sensors, electrical components that help regulate the flow of fuel to the engine.
Drivers traveling at 30 miles per hour or more still have full power steering and braking functions in the event of a sudden engine stall. Ford spokesman Dan Jarvis said no injuries have been reported.

Vehicles affected by the recall include the following models:
All the recalled vehicles have a 7.3 liter diesel engine and are from model years 1997-2003. Consumers can take their vehicles to a Ford dealer to have the sensor inspected and replaced at no cost.
