"Rep. George Bailey survives dog bite and election"

South Carolina Rep. George Bailey suffered a dog bite while campaigning in early October. After realizing the stray dog bite broke skin and spending hours looking for the dog, Bailey was forced to get rabies treatment. Bailey had to get nine shots total, five of which he described as being “terrible”. Still, the dog bite incident did not take away his defeat over challenger Lachlan McIntosh by 473 votes to retain his House seat.
