What is Hypocupremia?

Hypocupremia is a condition that develops when the human body is suffering from a copper deficiency. Copper is a vital component of several functions of the body, including the formation of red blood cells, production of energy, and strengthening of bones and connective tissue.

Denture wearers can develop denture cream hypocupremia due to high levels of zinc being absorbed into their bodies through their denture cream. When an excessive amount of zinc builds up in the body, it blocks the absorption of copper.

Hypocupremia Symptoms
